The Liposonix treatment is basically a noninvasive, non-surgical fat reduction treatment which uses high-intensity ultrasound energy to permanently destroy fat cells around the abdomen and flanks areas. This device applies same energy source as diagnostic ultrasound, though it's invented to precisely target high energy into specific areas to destroy fat cells with minimal negative effects and downtime. Liposonix focuses the ultrasound energy at 1-2 cm below the skin's surface help preventany burns or trauma to the skin, makes treatment relatively comfortable.
It is important to note that Liposonix is not lose weight treatment. Liposonix HIFU permanently disrupts fat cells but does not destroy or eliminate fat, so you cannot use Liposonix for weight reduction, only inches loss.

During treatment, when the fat cells are destroyed by the HIFU it attracts the body’s inflammatory and healing responses, whereby specific cells, called macrophages, engulf the fat and cellular debris and transport it throughout the lymphatic and venous system, and then ultimately through the liver. The liver metabolizes the fat cells as it normally would do to the fat you’ve consumed thus releases it back out to other fat cells in the body. The entire process takes 2 to 4 weeks to complete,  a gradual course  which won't disrupt triglycerides or any other body chemistries. Since the targeted fat cells were destroyed by the Liposonix treatment, the fat cannot return to the therapy area; however, studies have proven no measurable distribution of the fat post treatment.
